SPANISH LANGUAGE & CULTURE-- GRADES 4th-6th
Teacher: Reyna Ramirez
Geared especially toward 4th-6th grade, this class will introduce students to the Spanish language (vocabulary building), beginning conversation and culture through songs, stories, games, geography, and native items from Spanish-speaking countries. The students will fully participate in various activities during class time, and memorize the language by way of songs, simple projects, and other homework practice assignments.

HIGH SCHOOL SPANISH - GRADES 9th-12th
Teacher: Reyna Ramirez
This high school academic course will utilize the Bob Jones curriculum over the course of the academic year. This text takes an innovative and engaging approach to help students not only learn about Spanish, but learn to communicate at a novice-high level. Each chapter contains a theme in which vocabulary and grammar will be presented within the context of that chapter’s theme. The text also contains Cultural studies infused throughout the textbook from the artwork down to the activities to expose students to these cultures of the various Spanish speaking countries
Class time will be comprised of instruction on new material, introduction of new vocabulary and grammar, and various activities to reinforce the material already taught. Students should expect weekly homework from text and workbook, and quizzes and tests given over the semester.
Parents will need to purchase Spanish 1 Student Textbook 3rd Edition and the coordinating workbook from BJU Press. Books can be found here.

This high school academic course will be utilizing Memoria Press First Form and Second Form curriculum over the course of the academic year.
Class time will be comprised of instruction on new material, introduction of new vocabulary and grammar, a weekly Latin saying, oral recitation, review of material learned over the course of the year, and activities to reinforce the subject matter.
Students should expect weekly homework from text and workbook, and weekly quizzes that are given, along with tests, over the semester.
Parents will need to purchase First Form student text, workbook, quizzes and tests booklet, and First and Second Form desk charts for the first semester and Second Form student text, workbook, and quizzes and tests booklet for the second semester.
